Goodbye, Emma

Last week, we said goodbye to Emma Irons, our English trainee, who has finished her placement in our school. She has been in Països Catalans for 2 months with the teacher Pilar.

We could practise a lot of English.

 Emma and Laura, the trainee from the University of LLeida, taught us the "Cha Cha Slide" dance.
We learnt the different steps and we could follow the dance very good.

Recipes activities

A group of Year 5C did a good presentation about 2 complete daily menus. 

These girls, also, showed Emma some of our traditional dishes. 

 and we have learnt how to make a pizza thanks to Maria 's presentation. 

Miquel Roig Nadal

We draw Lleida most famous monuments ( La Seu Vella, Sant LLorenç and Indívil i Mandoni statue).

We use the charcoal technique like Miquel Roig Nadal, the artist from Lleida. Yr 5.

Mardi gras masks

Joaquim Ureña

Year 5 students have met Joaquim Ureña, the fantastic artist from Lleida. We did his artwork: Girl on a terrace but with our touch.

Leandre Cristòfol

We learnt about Leandre Cristòfol, the artist from Ós de Balaguer. We made an artístic head with plasticine. The students from 5th grade were very interested.

London Skylines

With paper scraps we worked the London skyline and we learned about

 the most important London buildings.
