Thanksgiving Day is traditionally,a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal. The meal often includes a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, pumpkin pie, and vegetables. Thanksgiving Day is a time for many people to give thanks for what they have.We made a big turkey and talked about what we are thankful for.

The First Thanksgiving

The first American Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621, to commemorate the harvest reaped by the Plymouth Colony after a very cold winter and thanks to the Indians who help them.The pilgrims celebrated it as a traditional English harvest feast, to which they invited the  Indians.
